How To Use A Condom
|
Why Use Condoms?
Condoms help protect against HIV/AIDS and against other sexually transmitted infection (STIs). STIs increase your risk of catching HIV because you may have open sores or bleeding from your cervix, the entrance to the womb (uterus).
Why use condoms with oral sex?
If you brush your teeth and you have any bleeding from your gums, and you have oral sex with an HIV infected partner, then you can catch HIV because of the opening in your gums.
You can’t always see or know that your partner has a sexually transmitted infection. You won’t always be able to tell something may be wrong, including HIV infection.
If you’re having sex, use a condom to be sure you won’t catch an infection like Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Syphilis, and other infections.
